1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Les cinq photographies prises \u00e0 Shibuya sont volontairement perturb\u00e9es par le bruit urbain. Nous sommes pourtant dans des rues assez calmes de Tokyo, mais le sur-plein de la ville m&rsquo;inspire r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement ce type de compositions. Je fais un peu moins ces derniers temps de compositions graphiques. Cela a d&rsquo;ailleurs toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 un dilemme pour moi en terme de direction \u00e0 suivre entre photographies \u00ab\u00a0authentiques\u00a0\u00bb qu&rsquo;on pourrait cat\u00e9goriser comme \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/archives\/2010\/07\/11\/speaker-et-alterations-urbaines\/\">straight photography<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0, et les compositions graphiques qui alt\u00e8rent volontairement le d\u00e9cor urbain et donnent \u00e0 Tokyo un aspect diff\u00e9rent. J&rsquo;appelle cela \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/archives\/2012\/05\/13\/in-storms\/\">shoegazing photography<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb car, comme pour la musique, on se perd dans des nuages de bruits. J&rsquo;ai une attirance naturelle pour les alt\u00e9rations de l&rsquo;image comme sur les photographies ci-dessus. C&rsquo;est un besoin de casser l&rsquo;image en quelque sorte, mais je n&rsquo;ai pas pouss\u00e9 l&rsquo;inspiration tr\u00e8s souvent ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (depuis le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/photobooks\/\">photobook In Shadows<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Dans un tout autre style, mais toujours en compositions graphiques, je repense \u00e0 mes s\u00e9ries que je consid\u00e8re comme \u00ab\u00a0embl\u00e9matiques\u00a0\u00bb de Made in Tokyo, que sont les s\u00e9ries <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/urbano-vegetal\/\">urbano-v\u00e9g\u00e9tal<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/megastruktur\/\">megastruktur<\/a>. Je viens de regrouper toutes ces compositions construites au fur et \u00e0 mesure des ann\u00e9es sur deux pages que l&rsquo;on trouvera en liens en en-t\u00eate du blog, en dessous du titre Made in Tokyo (pour le moment). J&rsquo;\u00e9coute les deux premiers albums du groupe, le <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/17434-bikini-kill-ep\/\">Bikini Kill EP<\/a> (1992) et le suivant <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/19153-bikini-kill-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah\/\">Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah<\/a> (1993), aux accents f\u00e9ministes forts. J&rsquo;aime beaucoup cette musique sans concessions. Ceci dit, ces deux albums ont d\u00fb \u00eatre enregistr\u00e9s live car la qualit\u00e9 de la prise de son n&rsquo;est pas excellente. En m\u00eame temps, \u00e7a contribue \u00e0 la grande spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 de cette musique. Dans une m\u00eame continuit\u00e9, je me suis d\u00e9cid\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9couter <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sleater-Kinney\">Sleater-Kinney<\/a>. J&rsquo;avais l&rsquo;album <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/19860-sleater-kinney-start-together\/\">Dig Me Out<\/a> (1997) dans ma liste des disques \u00e0 \u00e9couter depuis longtemps et j&rsquo;ai enfin plong\u00e9 les oreilles dans cette musique rock \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et pleine d&rsquo;urgence, tant dans les voix de Corin Tucker et de Carrie Brownstein que par le rythme rapide des guitares. Alors que Bikini Kill est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme pr\u00e9curseur du mouvement Riot grrrl, Sleater-Kinney en a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s influenc\u00e9. Tous les albums de Sleater-Kinney sont tr\u00e8s bien appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 sur Pitchfork. Cela annonce de bonnes d&rsquo;heures dans les oreilles, tant j\u2019aime ce rock l\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Tiens, une anecdote amusante concernant Tobi Vail et Kathleen Hanna du Bikini Kill et Kurt Cobain de Nirvana, sur la page Wikipedia de <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tobi_Vail\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tobi Vail<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Vail met Kurt Cobain when he was hanging around with the Melvins in 1986. Cobain played guitar on one of the Go Team songs. Vail and Cobain briefly dated beginning in July 1990. The two discussed the possibility of starting a music project, and recorded a few songs together. Some of these songs ended up being Nirvana tracks. In October 1990 after Dave Grohl joined Nirvana, Hanna and Grohl started dating, making for two couples linking Nirvana to the new band Bikini Kill. Referring to the Teen Spirit deodorant brand that Vail once used, Hanna spray-painted \u00ab\u00a0Kurt smells like Teen Spirit\u00a0\u00bb on the wall of Cobain&rsquo;s bedroom. Cobain, unaware of the deodorant brand, saw a deeper meaning in the spray-painted phrase, and he wrote the song \u00ab\u00a0Smells Like Teen Spirit\u00a0\u00bb which became a monumental hit song for Nirvana. Cobain and Vail soon split but they remained friends.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Et une autre anecdote sur un des morceaux intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Thurston Hearts The Who\u00a0\u00bb du EP de Bikini Kill. Le Thurston du titre du morceau est bien entendu Thurston Moore de Sonic Youth, comme nous le dit les paroles du d\u00e9but du morceau \u00ab\u00a0If Sonic Youth thinks you&rsquo;re cool, Does that mean everything to you?\u00a0\u00bb. Dans un article du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2012\/11\/bikini-kill-ep-kathleen-hanna-oral-history-20-anniversary\/3\/\">magazine Spin<\/a>, Tobi Vail nous explique:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[\u201cThurston Hearts The Who\u201d] was recorded live in between the time that our EP was recorded and came out. We were living in Washington D.C. and toured the East Coast quite a bit in 1991-92. Whenever anyone played New York, everyone would talk about Kim and Thurston coming to the show as this idea of that\u2019s how your band becomes \u201ccool\u201d or whatever. One night Kathi and I just made up this song as we were falling asleep and we ended up playing it live soon after \u2014 maybe a few days later. We thought it was funny. Reading the show review into the mic was in homage to \u201cHC Rebellion\u201d by Pussy Galore. Later on, Sonic Youth were incredibly supportive of us. The song was not meant as a dis.
