Je n\u2019avais pas pratiqu\u00e9 ce type de trituration de l\u2019espace depuis quelques temps, mais j\u2019aime m\u2019y remettre de temps en temps. C\u2019est en quelque sorte ma fa\u00e7on de repr\u00e9senter la dualit\u00e9 amour et haine pour cette ville (<a href=\"https:\/\/cemondederosee.com\/2018\/04\/04\/cabu-au-japon\/\">phase III<\/a>), la plupart du flot de photographies de ce blog appartenant au premier aspect tandis que ces deconstructions de l\u2019espace prennent le pendant inverse et agissent en quelque sorte comme une soupape 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>J\u2019ai tout de suite \u00e9t\u00e9 attir\u00e9 par le nom de cette exposition au <a href=\"http:\/\/www.2121designsight.jp\/en\/\">21_21 Design Sight<\/a> de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tokyo-midtown.com\/en\/\">Tokyo Mid Town<\/a> intitul\u00e9e <a href=\"http:\/\/www.2121designsight.jp\/en\/program\/audio_architecture\/index.html\">Audio Architecture<\/a>, en imaginant la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019exposition viendrait mettre en relation la musique et l\u2019architecture. Le th\u00e8me de l\u2019exposition \u00e9tait un peu diff\u00e9rent de ce que j\u2019imaginais car il s\u2019agissait plut\u00f4t d\u2019architecture musicale. Le directeur d\u2019exposition <a href=\"http:\/\/tha.jp\">Yugo Nakamura<\/a> avait pour ambition de construire un espace inspir\u00e9 d\u2019un morceau de musique cr\u00e9\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement pour cette occasion par Keigo Oyamada aka <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corneliusjapan.com\">Cornelius<\/a>. Cet espace est con\u00e7u par le designer d\u2019int\u00e9rieur <a href=\"http:\/\/wonder-wall.com\/project\/354\/\">Masamichi Katayama<\/a>, le graphisme par Masakazu Kitayama et le morceau de musique de Cornelius est illustr\u00e9 par les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.2121designsight.jp\/en\/program\/audio_architecture\/exhibits.html\">vid\u00e9os de 8 artistes<\/a>, montr\u00e9es dans un espace tout en longueur. Le spectateur s\u2019assoit \u00e0 m\u00eame la sc\u00e8ne ou \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re sur des escaliers dans le noir le long du grand \u00e9cran de projection. Les 8 vid\u00e9os sont projet\u00e9s en continu les unes apr\u00e8s les autres sur ce grand \u00e9cran. Comme on est assis sur la sc\u00e8ne, l\u2019effet d\u2019immersion est assez saisissant. Toutes les vid\u00e9os accompagnent un seul et unique morceau qui se r\u00e9p\u00e8te sans cesse, et c\u2019est un peu dommage car apr\u00e8s la quatri\u00e8me ou cinqui\u00e8me vid\u00e9o, on finit par saturer un peu de cette musique qui se r\u00e9p\u00e8te. Ou alors, il faut \u00eatre fan de Cornelius, ce qui n\u2019est pas tout \u00e0 fait mon cas. Le musicien a une certaine notori\u00e9t\u00e9 et une communaut\u00e9 de fans, certainement depuis son pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent groupe appartenant \u00e0 la mouvance <a href=\"http:\/\/neojaponisme.com\/2004\/11\/15\/the-legacy-of-shibuya-kei-part-one\/\">Shibuya-Kei<\/a>. En ce qui me concerne, la voix de Oyamada et cette musique, certes tr\u00e8s technique et travaill\u00e9e, m\u2019ont toujours laiss\u00e9 un peu froid et ne provoque pas en moi d\u2019\u00e9motion particuli\u00e8re. Les vid\u00e9os sont de qualit\u00e9 et d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat variables. J\u2019aime beaucoup la premi\u00e8re vid\u00e9o, celle de Keita Onishi avec ces formes simples en trois dimensions, car elle remplit bien le cahier des charges en interagissant de mani\u00e8re synchronis\u00e9e avec la musique ou avec les paroles du morceau. Les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.2121designsight.jp\/en\/program\/audio_architecture\/music.html\">paroles<\/a> sont d\u2019ailleurs assez basiques, compos\u00e9es de doublets aux sens oppos\u00e9s (\u00ab\u00a0Light \/ Shadow\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0Chaos \/ Order\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0Sound \/ Silence\u00a0\u00bb&#8230;). Alors que je m\u2019attendais \u00e0 ce que toutes les autres vid\u00e9os interagissent d\u2019une mani\u00e8re similaire mais \u00e0 leur fa\u00e7on avec le rythme du morceau et ses mots, ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas tout \u00e0 fait le cas. J\u2019avais m\u00eame l\u2019impression que plus on avan\u00e7ait dans les vid\u00e9os, plus elles se d\u00e9solidarisaient de la musique, au point o\u00f9 je ne voyais plus vraiment la relation entre la vid\u00e9o et la musique, qui est sens\u00e9e \u00eatre le support de la vid\u00e9o. Sur les 8 vid\u00e9os pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es, j\u2019aime beaucoup les quatre premi\u00e8res, notamment une vid\u00e9o avec des lignes de lumi\u00e8res filantes par Hiroaki Umeda, une autre avec des formes rondes brouillonnes de couleur rouge\u00e2tre qui se m\u00e9langent devant nous (Kazumasa Teshigawara) ou encore la vid\u00e9o par Ryo Orikasa montrant des formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques fluorescentes flottant dans l\u2019espace noir. J\u2019aurais aim\u00e9 y voir une interaction plus \u00e9vidente et poignante entre musique et vid\u00e9o qui cr\u00e9erait un ensemble indissociable. Je dirais d\u2019ailleurs qu\u2019Autechre est proche du style architectural <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deconstructivism\">deconstructiviste<\/a> et si je devais les comparer \u00e0 un architecte, je penserais tout de suite \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Frank_Gehry\">Frank Gehry<\/a>. L\u2019approche architecturale de la musique d\u2019Autechre et m\u00eame d\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/aphextwin.warp.net\">Aphex Twin<\/a> est beaucoup plus puissante que ce que j\u2019ai pu \u00e9couter pendant l\u2019exposition Audio Architecture. \u00c9galement, la mani\u00e8re dont les \u00e9l\u00e9ments graphiques interagissent avec la musique dans la vid\u00e9o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ev3vENli7wQ\">Gantz Graf<\/a> d\u2019Autechre est tout simplement impressionnante. Je suis comme hypnotis\u00e9 \u00e0 chaque fois que je regarde cette vid\u00e9o, par la pr\u00e9cision des mouvements calqu\u00e9s sur la musique et la beaut\u00e9 organique de cette machine froide qui semble pourtant bien vivante et m\u00eame luttant pour survivre. D\u2019une m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, la vid\u00e9o non officielle cr\u00e9\u00e9e par un fan du morceau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=acuwRHIWL_o\">plyPhon<\/a> des m\u00eames Autechre est \u00e9galement d\u2019un excellent niveau en terme de synchronisation entre images et musique. L\u2019assemblage de formes architecturales qui se construisent petit \u00e0 petit y est percutant. Le tout nouveau morceau d\u2019aphex Twin intitul\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SqayDnQ2wmw\">T69 Collapse<\/a> joue aussi beaucoup avec l\u2019architecture. Les formes se distordent au rythme des sons \u00e9lectroniques et c\u2019est du plus bel effet. On a m\u00eame un peu de mal \u00e0 suivre le rythme des images, tant \u00e7a bouge. Quel plaisir de retrouver Aphex Twin! Syro, sorti en 2014, reste pour moi un des meilleurs albums de musique \u00e9lectronique. Aphex Twin est un v\u00e9ritable architecte sonore. En fait, avant d\u2019aller voir cette exposition Audio Architecture, j\u2019avais ces images fortes en t\u00eate des vid\u00e9os d\u2019Autechre et d\u2019Aphex Twin, et j\u2019attendais peut \u00eatre trop d\u2019une exposition avec un titre pareil. J\u2019aurais tant voulu y voir une installation vid\u00e9o musicale qui m\u2019inspire et m\u2019enthousiasme mais la musique de Cornelius n\u2019\u00e9tait malheureusement pas \u00e0 m\u00eame de cr\u00e9er un choc \u00e9motionnel, et les logistiques d\u2019espaces par Katayama \u00e9taient certainement trop fonctionnelles et pas assez artistiques \u00e0 mon avis.<\/p>\n<p><img 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En parlant de Frank Gehry, la derni\u00e8re fois que je suis venu dans cette galerie d&rsquo;exposition 21_21 Design Sight, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait en Novembre 2015 pour l&rsquo;exposition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgautron.com\/weblog\/archives\/2015\/11\/07\/gehry-has-an-idea\/\">Gehry has an idea<\/a>. J&rsquo;aime revoir cette architecture biseaut\u00e9e et pratiquement souterraine de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tadao-ando.com\">Tadao Ando<\/a>. Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;exposition, je m&rsquo;attarde quelques minutes dans le hall au sous-sol pour observer le b\u00e9ton, notamment cet escalier qui semble en l\u00e9vitation et la lumi\u00e8re qui p\u00e9n\u00e8tre depuis les hauteurs dans l&rsquo;enceinte du hall par de grandes baies vitr\u00e9es. Je trouve que le graphisme \u00ab\u00a0Audio Architecture\u00a0\u00bb dessin\u00e9 par Masakazu Kitayama fonctionne bien dans la p\u00e9nombre de la partie int\u00e9rieure du hall de la galerie. Une fois \u00e0 l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur, je constate que le b\u00e2timent reste impeccable. Je connaissais d\u00e9j\u00e0 les masques cyberpunk cr\u00e9\u00e9s par Ikeuchi, pour les avoir vu il a plus d\u2019un an en exposition au m\u00eame endroit. Je suis d\u2019ailleurs attentivement les \u00e9volutions de son travail \u00e0 travers <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ik_products?lang=en\">Twitter<\/a>. Il utilise divers objets \u00e9lectroniques qu\u2019il assemble de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des genres de masques ou de casques tout droit sortis d\u2019un film d\u2019anticipation. La beaut\u00e9 et le \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9alisme\u00a0\u00bb de ces objets de science fiction sont saisissants. Sur Twitter, il montre r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement les objets qu\u2019il cr\u00e9e port\u00e9s par des mod\u00e8les souvent f\u00e9minins.
