  1. What kind of equipment do you take your photographs with? I’m becoming jealous of people with digital cameras recently and I’d really like to buy one for myself, any recommendations?

  2. Hi, I’m using a Canon D30 for those pictures. I don’t think it’s sold anymore though, replaced by the 10D, which gives at least a better AF when it’s getting dark. I would recommend you have a look at the following websites before choosing your digital camera: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/

  3. Wow! What a nice camera. There are still a few places that sell the D30 online, but the price tag is up around 2500USD. I wish I had that kind of cash, but I’ve got to place work before pleasure. I’m still shooting with conventional film and a 20 year old Vivitar, but I keep it in good condition and most people really enjoy the ‘sound’ of my camera’s shutter clicking.

    Thanks for the advice.

  4. Hi John,

I’m sure you can get a D30 for much cheaper than that! In Japan, the second hand D30s sell at more or less JPY80,000!

On top of that, for about $2,000, you can get a Canon EOS 10D (the latest of the Canon prosumer cameras), which is a real bargain for the quality of the camera!

You can see some pictures taken with this camera (as well as some others taken with the D30) on my homepage, as I have owned both cameras (sold my D30 since then): check http://www.shiromi.com/midori2003.html

    Enjoy your photography !

  5. I beg whoever took those pictures to please post them in 1024×768 or even greater. I want to put them as my background image.

Im saving this webpage in my bookmark. Please reply to where you posted the big images.

Thank you so much!! Beautiful pictures!!!
